Inaugural Trade Tasting Event
On Tuesday 24 April 2024 we hosted our inaugural Trade Tasting Event at Canton Hall. With more than 150 wines on offer, it was a buzzing afternoon of Australian and International wines in the heart of Perth.
We had 20 of our winemakers and Craft Alliance team members welcoming industry to try the latest vintages, meet the teams behind our portfolio, and learn more about our range of imports. Craft Alliance Co. Sales Manager, Kirsty Potter, said it was a wonderful afternoon with the industry and enjoyed connecting key customers with the winemakers behind some of their favourite pours.
“When the restaurant pouring a wine has the opportunity to meet the winemaker – it is always a great moment. Being able to take the time to deep dive into lots of different individual winemaking approaches all in one place, makes for a really special experience.”
Welcoming attendees to the event, Craft Alliance Co-owner Lauren Cooper was overwhelmed with the turn out.
“Being our first trade tasting event, we were feeling a little unsure of the uptake. It was wonderful to see so many existing customers and new industry friends coming through to look at the newest wines, meet some of our makers, and try the portfolio.”
Canton Hall, which is flooded with natural light and brimming with old world charm, was a magnificent space to use for the event. Flowing between the rooms, attendees could move from table to table, talking amongst themselves and with winemakers.
A delectable spread of food was presented by Comestibles, who planned a perfect menu to compliment the tastings.
Thanking the industry for their support, Craft Alliance Co-owner Dean Mitchell said the team and the portfolio did an outstanding job on the day.
“The room had a great energy to it. It was great to catch up with some of our best customers and meet the new faces who came through to discover the portfolio. From sommeliers, restaurant owners, bottle shops, clubs, media, and hospitality groups – it was a great group of people and we’re super thankful to everyone who took the time to come along.”
